Server hang via malformed multipart boundary
Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Denial of service in InvokeAI 5.0.1 allows remote attackers to hang the server through a crafted multipart image-upload request. Multipart boundary processing fails to terminate when excessive characters follow the boundary, leaving the upload parser in an infinite loop. No authentication or user interaction is required, and one request can interrupt the service for all users.
