Arbitrary file read via symlink artifact traversal

Path traversal in affected GitHub Enterprise Server 3.8 through 3.11 releases allows remote authenticated users to read files via Pages builds. A specially crafted artifact tarball deploys attacker-chosen symbolic links into a Pages site, and the build follows those links to files outside the intended site content. The attacker must have permission to create and build a GitHub Pages site; exploitation exposes readable files without granting write access or interrupting service.
