Reflected XSS via unescaped request URI attribute
Published Jan 9, 2025 · Updated Jan 9, 2025
Reflected XSS in Reneade PostLists 2.0.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The plugin inserts the unescaped $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] value into an HTML attribute on its administration page, allowing a crafted URL to break out of that attribute. An authenticated administrator must open the crafted wp-admin URL in a browser that does not encode the supplied characters, after which the script runs in the site's administrative origin.
