CVE-2024-10811Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Machine-account credential coercion via unchecked UNC paths

Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Absolute path traversal in Ivanti Endpoint Manager before its January 2025 updates allows remote attackers to leak sensitive information. The unauthenticated GetHashForFile API passes attacker-supplied paths to HashCalculator.GetHashForSingleFile, causing the core server to access a remote UNC path and send its machine-account credential. Access to the exposed core-server API is sufficient; successful relay depends on reachable services that accept NTLM and can lead to server compromise.
