Authenticated post disclosure via unchecked shortcode template ID
Published Nov 16, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information exposure in Themes4WP Popularis Extra 1.2.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read private Elementor posts. The elementor-template shortcode passes an attacker-controlled template ID to Elementor's get_builder_content_for_display() without verifying the referenced post's status or the caller's authorization. Contributor-level access is required, and disclosure is limited to private or draft posts created with Elementor.
