Subscriber-level quiz creation via missing capability checks
Published Feb 7, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in AYS Pro Plugins Quiz Maker 6.5.2.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to create arbitrary quizzes. The ays_quick_start() and add_question_rows() functions accept quiz-creation requests without checking the caller's WordPress capabilities. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and successful exploitation writes unauthorized quiz content to the site.
