Post disclosure via unrestricted shortcode template selection
Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information disclosure in StaxWP BuddyBuilder 1.7.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read private or draft Elementor posts. The elementor-template shortcode accepts a caller-selected post identifier and renders the referenced Elementor post without enforcing its publication status or the caller's authorization to view it. Contributor-level access is required, and the disclosed content is limited to private or draft posts that the account cannot otherwise read.
