CVE-2024-1076Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Private-key disclosure via unprotected web directory

Published May 8, 2024 · Updated Mar 25, 2025

Information exposure in Zen Plugins SSL Zen before 4.6.0 allows remote attackers to read generated private keys over HTTP. The plugin stores keys under ssl_zen/keys and relies only on Apache .htaccess instead of a server-independent access-control barrier for that directory. Exposure requires generated keys and a web server such as NGINX that ignores .htaccess, disclosing the site's TLS private key without authentication.
