CVE-2024-10714Network attack vector

Service hang via oversized multipart boundary

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Resource exhaustion in GPT Academic 3.83 allows remote attackers to interrupt the service via a crafted multipart file upload. The multipart boundary parser repeatedly processes every excessive trailing character and emits a warning for each byte instead of rejecting the malformed boundary. An unauthenticated network request to the upload interface is sufficient to keep the server busy and make the application inaccessible.
