Database disclosure via unprepared sorting clause
Published Mar 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
SQL injection in Ultimate Member 2.1.3 through 2.8.2 allows remote attackers to read database data through the sorting parameter. Member_Directory_Meta::ajax_get_members() interpolates the sanitized value into an ORDER BY clause without wpdb::prepare(), enabling time-based blind queries. The vulnerable class loads only when the custom usermeta-table option is enabled, and successful exploitation discloses sensitive database records.
