Authenticated shortcode execution via unvalidated action value
Published Dec 6, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Code injection in Repute InfoSystems ARMember 4.0.51 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary shortcodes. An action handler in core/classes/class.arm_shortcodes.php passes an insufficiently validated action value to WordPress do_shortcode. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the resulting effect is limited to functionality exposed by registered shortcodes.
