Stored XSS via unescaped question setting
Published Mar 25, 2025 · Updated Mar 25, 2025
Stored XSS in Quiz and Survey Master before 9.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through a crafted question setting. The Facebook-sharing logo field stores attacker-supplied HTML without adequate sanitization or output escaping and renders it when the tools log entry is opened. Administrator-level access is required to save the payload, and execution occurs in the browser of a user who views the resulting log entry.
