Authenticated post disclosure via unrestricted shortcode selection
Published Nov 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Information exposure in bPlugins Content Slider Block 3.1.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read nonpublic posts via [csb]. The shortcode handler in includes/CustomPost.php processes user-selected posts without enforcing password, private, or draft visibility restrictions. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the resulting exposure is limited to post data the account cannot ordinarily read.
