CVE-2024-10662Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via devName stack overflow

Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024

Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC15 15.03.05.19 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted devName value. formSetDeviceName passes the mac and devName parameters into sub_C6D58, where concatenation of an oversized devName overruns a stack buffer and permits return-address control. Reachability requires low-privilege management access, a matching device MAC address, and successful internal socket operations; the published test demonstrates a router crash.
