Authenticated code execution via scanList stack overwrite
Published Nov 1, 2024 · Updated Nov 5, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC15 15.03.05.19 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted scanList value. The SetDlnaCfg handler passes an oversized scanList form value into formDLNAserver, overwriting its stack and enabling a ROP chain. A valid management-session cookie and network access to /goform/SetDlnaCfg are required; exploitation can crash the service or run commands on the router.
