Authenticated service interruption via unbounded date-range materialization
Published Feb 7, 2024 · Updated Jun 2, 2026
Resource exhaustion in affected GitLab EE releases allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service through a GraphQL query. The VulnerabilitiesCountPerDayResolver converts an unchecked start_date-to-end_date range into an in-memory array before pagination. A low-privileged account with access to the vulnerabilitiesCountByDay field can submit an extreme date span, consuming CPU and memory until the Rails process hangs and must be killed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=13.3.3 <16.6.7
