Unauthenticated shared-file overwrite via unguarded S3 handlers
Published Feb 10, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Missing authentication in OpenUI at commit c945bb859979659add5f490a874140ad17c56a5d allows remote attackers to overwrite shared JSON files. The GET and POST handlers for /v1/share/{id} pass a caller-chosen object name directly to storage.download or storage.upload without checking a session or identity. No authentication is required to write or read a chosen key; stored script execution still requires another user to load the poisoned share.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
