CVE-2024-10648Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Arbitrary file deletion via audio format traversal

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Mar 20, 2025

Path traversal in Gradio Audio 4.0.0 through 5.0.0b2 allows remote attackers to empty arbitrary server files through the output format. The save_audio_to_cache function appends the attacker-controlled format to an audio filename, resolves the path, and passes it to audio.export without confining the result to the cache directory. An unauthenticated request that reaches an Audio output can truncate a chosen file to zero bytes, interrupting the server or dependent services.
