Published May 15, 2025 · Updated May 20, 2025
Stored XSS in Countdown Timer for WordPress Block Editor 1.0.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a redirect URL. The countdown block accepts a javascript: URL for its On Date Expiry redirect and outputs it without validating or escaping the URL scheme. A contributor can store the payload, but an administrator must publish the post and view it after the countdown expires for script execution in that administrator's browser.
