CVE-2024-10629Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated arbitrary file creation via unchecked upload

Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026

Arbitrary file creation in axelkeller GPX Viewer 2.2.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write server-side files. The gpxv_file_upload() AJAX handler accepts a caller-supplied filename and GPX content without a capability check or file-type validation, then stores the content under the site's GPX upload directory. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; a PHP filename can place executable code in the web-accessible upload path, enabling server command execution where PHP execution is permitted.
