Unauthenticated arbitrary file upload via missing type validation
Published Nov 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Vanquish WooCommerce Support Ticket System 17.7 and earlier allows remote attackers to upload arbitrary files. The ajax_manage_file_chunk_upload() function accepts chunked uploads without validating the uploaded file type before placing the file on the site server. No authentication or user interaction is required; a dangerous uploaded file can enable code execution when the server handles it as executable content.
