Authenticated file deletion via unvalidated upload path
Published Nov 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in Vanquish WooCommerce Support Ticket System 17.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete server files. The delete_uploaded_file() function fails to confine a supplied file path to the plugin's upload directory before deleting the referenced file. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and deletion of a critical file such as wp-config.php can interrupt the site or enable code execution.
