Contributor-level settings modification via unchecked save callback
Published Nov 23, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in WP Travel Engine 6.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter plugin settings through its save handler. The wpte_onboard_save_function_callback() handler writes submitted onboarding values without verifying that the caller can manage plugin settings. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and resulting changes can alter site pages or booking-related settings that affect revenue.
