CVE-2024-10572Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Server shutdown and file writes via exposed classes

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Code injection in H2O.ai H2O-3 3.46.0.1 allows remote attackers to write files and shut down the server through run_tool. The AST parser lets run_tool invoke main methods on classes in water.tools, and XGBoostLibExtractTool accepts an attacker-chosen directory for native-library extraction. No privileges or user interaction are required; invoking the exposed class can fill arbitrary directories with large files or terminate the H2O-3 process.
