Admin-only stored XSS via image title text
Published Feb 25, 2025 · Updated Feb 25, 2025
Stored XSS in NextGEN Gallery before 3.59.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute script through crafted image title text. The gallery image editor stores insufficiently filtered Alt & Title text and emits it when the image View link renders. Administrator-level access is required, and execution occurs only when a user opens the image's View link; multisite remains exposed when unfiltered_html is disabled.
