Authenticated demo import via missing capability check
Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in WP Royal Bard Extra 1.2.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to import demo data. The bardxtra_import_xml() function performs the demo-content import without checking whether the requesting WordPress account has the required capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and a successful request modifies site data by importing the plugin's demonstration content.
