Unauthenticated project modification via missing capability checks
Published Nov 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in weDevs WP Project Manager 2.6.14 and earlier allows remote attackers to create or delete project tasks and milestones. The check methods in the Create_Milestone, Create_Task_List, Create_Task, and Delete_Task classes accept requests without verifying a WordPress capability. No login is required, and exploitation changes project-management records but does not expose data or interrupt the WordPress service.
