Authenticated script execution via unneutralized key parameter
Published Oct 30, 2024 · Updated Oct 30, 2024
Reflected XSS in MapTiler TileServer GL 2.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a victim browser via the key parameter. The URL handler incorporates the attacker-controlled key value into generated page content without neutralizing it for the HTML context. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and a victim to open the crafted URL; the resulting script runs in the TileServer GL page origin.
