CVE-2024-10495

Code execution via out-of-bounds font table read

Published Dec 10, 2024 · Updated Dec 10, 2024

Out-of-bounds read in LabVIEW 2024 Q3 and earlier allows context-dependent attackers to disclose data or execute code via a crafted VI. The font-table loader in fontmgr.cpp insufficiently validates an index, position, or offset and reads beyond the intended memory boundary. Exploitation requires a user to open the supplied VI, after which code runs in the user's LabVIEW process or process memory is disclosed.
