Reflected XSS via unescaped search parameters
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
Reflected XSS in Causality Agency Simple:Press Forum before 6.10.11 allows remote attackers to run scripts via forum search requests. The members-search msearch parameter and general-search value parameter are inserted into page markup without sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. No authentication is required, but a victim must follow a crafted forum URL; the injected script then runs in that victim's browser context.
