Author-level stored XSS via unescaped Brand Name
Published Nov 28, 2024 · Updated Nov 29, 2024
Stored XSS in LogicHunt Logo Slider WP before 4.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute attacker-controlled script via a crafted Brand Name. The logo shortcode renders the stored Brand Name setting into a page without sanitizing or escaping it, allowing an autofocus/onfocus payload to execute. Author-level access is sufficient to store the payload, while execution requires a visitor to view and interact with the affected slider.
