Stored script execution via unsanitized required-message setting
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Nov 26, 2024
Stored XSS in WPEverest Everest Forms before 3.0.4.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts through a form setting. The Email Block Custom Required Message is stored without sanitization or output escaping and rendered when empty-email validation runs. Administrator-level access is required to plant the payload, and a form submission with an empty email field executes it in the submitter's browser under the site's origin.
