Unauthenticated file read and deletion via unchecked paths
Published Nov 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Path traversal in VibeThemes WPLMS 4.962 and earlier allows remote attackers to read and delete arbitrary server files. The affected theme code passes an attacker-controlled path to readfile() and unlink() without restricting the path or checking permissions. No authentication or theme activation is required, and deletion of wp-config.php interrupts WordPress and allows remote code execution.
