CVE-2024-10465Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Clipboard disclosure via persistent cross-tab Paste prompt

Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

UI spoofing in Mozilla Firefox, Firefox ESR, and Thunderbird allows remote attackers to obtain clipboard data through a stale Paste prompt. The DOM context-menu code failed to mark the Paste prompt as tab-specific, so it remained visible after the active tab or location changed. Exploitation requires a user to visit attacker-controlled content and approve Paste while viewing a trusted page; only clipboard contents are exposed.
