CVE-2024-10461Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Cross-site scripting via ignored attachment disposition

Published Oct 29, 2024 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Cross-site scripting in Firefox before 132, Firefox ESR before 128.4, and Thunderbird before 132 allows remote attackers to execute script. The HTTP nsPartChannel fails to inherit the multipart response attachment disposition, so an HTML body part is rendered instead of downloaded. Exploitation requires a user to open a crafted multipart response and grants script access within the response origin, enabling same-origin data reads or changes.
