Database query manipulation via crafted username
Published Oct 27, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
SQL injection in index.php in Project Worlds Simple Web-Based Chat Application 1.0 allows remote attackers to manipulate database queries. The message-sending request accepts a crafted username value that index.php uses in a MySQL query without safely neutralizing SQL syntax. No account or user interaction is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates attacker-controlled query execution through the chat message path.
