Contributor-level post deletion via unchecked callback
Published Feb 20, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Improper authorization in AMP for WP 1.0.93.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary WordPress posts. The amppb_remove_saved_layout_data function performs post deletion without checking whether the caller is authorized to delete the targeted post. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and the consequence is unauthorized deletion of any post selected through the function.
