Authenticated command execution via dhcpGateway injection
Published Oct 27, 2024 · Updated Oct 28, 2024
Command injection in Wavlink WN530H4, WN530HG4, and WN572HG3 20221028 allows remote authenticated users to execute OS commands. The firewall.cgi set_ipv6 handler inserts the attacker-controlled dhcpGateway value into a system command without neutralizing command syntax. Administrative access to the web interface is required, and successful injection permits commands to read or alter data and interrupt the device.
