CVE-2024-10403

Credential disclosure via passwords retained in core dumps

Published Nov 21, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024

Information disclosure in affected Brocade Fabric OS releases allows attackers to obtain SFTP/FTP credentials from supportsave archives. The weblinker daemon retains firmware-download server credentials in a low-level library, so a crash writes them in cleartext to its core dump. Exposure requires a SANnav, WebEM, or REST API firmware download followed by a weblinker crash and collection of that dump in a supportsave upload.
