CVE-2024-10366Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated attachment deletion via unchecked ownership

Published Mar 20, 2025 · Updated Jul 15, 2025

Improper access control in LibreChat 0.7.5-rc2 allows remote authenticated users to delete other users' attachments by ID. The DELETE /api/files handler passes caller-supplied file identifiers to processDeleteRequest without first constraining its file lookup to req.user.id. Any ordinary signed-in account that obtains another user's attachment identifier can remove that attachment, causing unauthorized data loss.
