Unauthenticated service interruption via shutdown function
Published Nov 11, 2024 · Updated Jan 29, 2025
Denial of service in Perforce Helix Core before 2024.2 allows remote attackers to stop the server through its shutdown function. Perforce has not published how the shutdown function accepts an unauthenticated request or which validation or authorization check is missing. No credentials or user interaction are required; a successful request leaves the version-control service inoperative until an administrator manually restarts it.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
