CVE-2024-10334

Camera credential disclosure via plaintext database storage

Published Feb 10, 2025 · Updated Feb 12, 2025

ABB System 800xA 5.1.x, 6.0.3.x, 6.1.1.x, and 6.2.x store VideONet camera passwords in plaintext, allowing local users to retrieve them. VideONet places every camera password unencrypted in a configuration database available to each client running the component. Access to a system node or control network exposes all camera credentials, enabling video-feed manipulation or interruption; remote retrieval is possible when IPsec is disabled.
