Stored script execution via unescaped Countdown attributes
Published Nov 26, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in the Countdown widget in Jegtheme Jeg Kit for Elementor 2.6.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts. The widget renderer accepts user-supplied attributes and emits them into page output without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store a payload, and the script executes in the browser whenever a user visits the injected page.
