Unauthenticated settings modification via missing capability check
Published Nov 9, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Missing authorization in CE21 Suite 2.2.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to modify plugin API settings without authentication. The ce21_single_sign_on_save_api_settings function saves caller-supplied settings without checking whether the caller has the required capability. Any network-reachable WordPress site with an affected active plugin exposes this unauthenticated configuration write; the published impact is limited to plugin settings changes.
