Session theft via unsanitized email recipient parameter
Published Oct 23, 2024 · Updated Oct 23, 2024
Cross-site scripting in LocalServer 1.0.9 allows remote attackers to steal authenticated users' session details via a crafted query. The /testmail/index.php handler fails to neutralize script-capable input supplied in the to parameter before including it in a web response. Exploitation requires interaction by an authenticated user, and successful script execution exposes that user's session details.
