Authenticated database access via unsanitized cpass query
Published Oct 20, 2024 · Updated Oct 21, 2024
SQL injection in code-projects Hospital Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to manipulate database queries via cpass. The change-password.php handler places the POST cpass value directly into an SQL query without sanitization or parameter binding, enabling time-based blind injection. An authenticated session is required to reach the endpoint; the demonstrated payload enumerates database contents, while further impact depends on the database account's permissions.
