Admin-session script execution via unescaped tab parameter
Published Feb 26, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2025
Reflected XSS in Element Engage's Simple Certain Time to Show Content before 1.3.1 allows remote attackers to run scripts via a crafted URL. The admin settings page reflects the tab query parameter into HTML without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a privileged user to follow the crafted link, after which attacker-supplied script runs in that user's browser context.
