Administration-panel denial of service via unbounded ping count
Published Jan 29, 2024 · Updated Jul 20, 2026
Uncontrolled resource consumption in SE-Elektronic E-DDC3.3 firmware 03.07.03 allows attackers to interrupt the administration panel. The unauthenticated SYSTEM.CGI ping handler accepts an unbounded anzahl count and synchronously launches enough ICMP requests to monopolize the web interface. Access to the configurable web service is sufficient; a count of 50 stalls responses, while larger counts leave the controller unmanageable.
