CVE-2024-10125Network attack vector

OIDC session impersonation via unchecked JWT signer

Published Oct 21, 2024 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

Authentication bypass in Amazon Application Load Balancer Identity ASP.NET Core Middleware allows remote attackers to impersonate OIDC sessions. ALBIdentityMiddleware.GetUser disables issuer validation and never compares the JWT signer with the expected ALB ARN before accepting its claims. Exploitation requires an internet-reachable ALB target and a JWT signed by another load balancer, granting the forged session the token's claims.
