Admin-level browser script execution via unsanitized form HTML
Published Nov 19, 2024 · Updated Nov 19, 2024
Stored XSS in MailPoet before 5.3.2 allows remote authenticated users with administrator privileges to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. The Custom HTML block stores an unsanitized Custom Text value in form settings and renders it during preview or later form access. Administrator or editor access with unfiltered_html disabled is required; execution in a victim's session can expose session data or perform actions with that victim's privileges.
